Lubbock is about eight and a half hours from our Houston warehouse, so bookings here come by van with the event manager and spare gear, with a travel day on each side. We have not written up a Lubbock VR event on this page yet; the Texas events we have are on the Dallas, Austin and Houston pages.
Venues we plan for: the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, the Overton Hotel, the Texas Tech campus and the McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center, and the agriculture and healthcare offices around the city.
What we bring to Lubbock
Lubbock is a long drive, which is why we bring spares, and why the van carries the whole list. Meta Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro headsets loaded with VR games. The flight simulator and the racing simulator, VR golf and the home run derby. Walk the Plank and the Virtuix Omni treadmill for a hall with room to walk. The event manager travels with it, sets up, runs the line and packs out. For a campus or office event you want to run yourselves, an equipment-only kit ships loaded. Lubbock, the Hub of the Plains
Lubbock sits on the High Plains in the northwest of Texas. The National Ranching Heritage Center keeps the ranch buildings of two centuries, the Silent Wings Museum has a restored CG-4A glider from the World War II program, Joyland still runs its coasters, and the Red Raiders fill the stadium on Big 12 Saturdays.
