VR home run derby rental for company events, team building and trade show booths

The home run derby is the simulator people understand before we explain it: pick a bat, step up to the plate at Fenway, Wrigley or Dodger Stadium, and swing for the fences. We hand your guest a foam bat with a VR tracker on the barrel so they swing something real, and the game counts home runs, distance and height so there is a number to beat. A round of ten swings takes a couple of minutes, which keeps the line moving.

The standard package is the headset, controllers and VR computer, the bat with a wrist strap, your choice of any of the thirty MLB ballparks, the baseball-themed backdrop, turf mat, table sign and runner, and an event manager for full-service bookings. The premium package adds branded headset decals, a branded leaderboard on its own TV and a baseball costume for the event manager. It needs 8 by 8 feet and one standard outlet, no Wi-Fi. We bring it to team building sessions, company parties and trade show booths, and it sits in the same virtual reality rental line-up as the VR golf simulator, the racing simulator and Walk the Plank.

Allen Boone Humphries Robinson, Austin, April 2026. A law-firm office event with the derby set at Dodger Stadium, branded headsets and a branded leaderboard carrying the firm’s and Make-A-Wish logos. ABHR: “Our event with y’all went as well as it could have gone, seriously! The game was a lot of fun to play! And your project management and communication before the event was top-notch.”

Diversified Communications, San Diego, February 2026. A three-day trade show with the home run derby and Walk the Plank side by side, two event managers and a custom-branded backdrop. VR home run derby rental: the questions we get asked

How much does it cost to rent the VR home run derby?

Priced by the day with the event manager, bat, mat, backdrop and theming included; the branded leaderboard and headset decals are the premium add-on. Send the date, the venue and the head count through the form and you will get a quote that covers the setup, the staff and travel.

How do you keep score?

Two ways. Count home runs in a set number of swings, or use the game’s points mode, which scores distance and height together so a towering shot to centre beats a line drive that just clears the wall. The leaderboard shows the top ten on its own TV, which is what turns a demo into a competition.

How long does each guest bat?

A round of ten swings takes a couple of minutes. At a party we let people go longer; in a booth we keep it to ten so the queue moves.

Which ballparks can we play in?

All thirty MLB stadiums, listed above. We set the home park of the city the event is in unless you ask for something else.

Is it fine for people who have never held a bat?

Yes. The pitch is slow and straight, the bat is foam, and the event manager shows each person the stance and the swing. We have had guests from grade school to retirement age on the leaderboard the same afternoon.
